Arena La Sirenetta

Arena La Sirenetta
Via Azalea, Mondello

Arena La Sirenetta was built in the aftermath of World War II as an open-air cinema. It showed premieres, presentations, and reruns from the previous winter season only a few steps from Mondello, ‘the Palermitan seaside’, 10 km from the city centre. In over fifty years La Sirenetta became part of the collective memory of Palermo. In 2006 the cinema closed and remained abandoned. Now, after 12 years, Manifesta 12 reopens the space with a programme of screenings running every Thursday to Sunday until 9 September 2018.  Screenings are open and free for everyone on a first come first served basis.

The complete Film Programme until 9 September is available here.
