Manifesta 12 Palermo consists of more than 40 newly commissioned projects, public interventions, and performances held in various venues spread around Palermo’s neighbourhoods. Manifesta 12 Tickets allow visitors to discover ground-breaking projects inspired by the Manifesta 12 Palermo curatorial concept The Planetary Garden.Cultivating Coexistence, many of which are visible in public spaces and no ticket is needed.
Manifesta 12 Palermo offers the following types of tickets:
Local Season Pass: 10 €
Only for residents of Sicily. It grants unrestricted admission to all the biennial’s venues until 4 November 2018.
Season Pass: 35 €
For non-residents of Sicily. It grants unrestricted admission to all the biennial’s venues until 4 November 2018.
Family Season Pass: 20 €
Only for residents of Sicily. It grants unrestricted admission to 2 adults and a maximum of 3 children up to the age of 17 to all the biennial’s venues until 4 November 2018.
Local Student Pass: 6 €
For all sicilian students (incl. MA students), unrestricted admission to all the venues of the biennial until 4 November 2018.
Student Pass: 10 €
For all students (incl. MA students), it grants unrestricted admission to all the venues of the biennial
until 4 November 2018.
1-Day Ticket: 15 €
It grants unrestricted admission to all the biennial’s venues for one day only.
3-Day Ticket: 25 €
3-Day Ticket is valid for 3 consecutive days entitling to multiple visits to all the biennial’s venues.
Family 1-Day Ticket: 30 €
For 2 adults and a maximum of 3 children up to the age of 17. It grants unrestricted admission to all the biennial’s venues for one day only.
Please note: Many interventions by Manifesta 12 Participants take place in public spaces. These spaces are ZEN, Chiesa di S. Maria dello Spasimo, Giardino dei Giusti, Volpe Astuta and Costa Sud. To visit these locations, a Manifesta 12 ticket is not needed.
Children up to six years old have free admission.
Where to buy Manifesta 12 Tickets?
- Teatro Garibaldi di Palermo (Via Teatro Garibaldi, 46-56) open from Tuesday to Sunday from 10.00 am to 08.00 pm.
- Orto Botanico di Palermo (via Lincoln, 2, Tuesday-Sunday, from 10.00 am to 07.00 pm), Palazzo Butera (via Butera, 18, Tuesday-Sunday, from 10.00 am to 08.00 pm) and Oratorio di San Lorenzo (via Immacolatella, 1, Tuesday-Sunday, from 10.00 am to 08.00 pm).
- Tourist Information Centre Bellini (via Maqueda, 191) and Cavour (via Cavour) open from Tuesday to Sunday from 9.00 am to 7.00 pm, and at the Tourist Information Centre Porto open on Tuesday, Friday and Saturday from 9.00 am to 2.00 pm. Please kindly note that at the Tourist Information Centres, tickets can be purchased only with a Credit Card or Bancomat.
- In the following venues part of Le Vie dei Tesori: Palazzo Asmundo (via Pietro Novelli, 3) and Villa Pottino (via Notarbartolo, 28) open Friday, Saturday and Sunday, from 10.00 am to 05.30 pm.

The Planetary Garden. Cultivating Coexistence
Gardens are places where diverse forms of life mix and adapt to co-exist. They allow for cross-pollination based on encounter. In 1997, French Botanist Gilles Clément described the world as a “planetary garden” with humanity in charge of being its gardener. Twenty years later, Manifesta 12 Palermo revisits the metaphor of the “garden”, not as a space for humans to take control, but rather as a site where “gardeners” recognise their dependency on other species, and respond to climate, time, or an array of social factors, in a shared responsibility.
